RodentWare Support System Information Bulletin
We thank you for your interest in becoming a RodentWare Support System.
What is RodentWare?
RodentWare is a programming development dedicated to quality Share-
ware and Freeware programs. It was originally formed in May, 1990
by James Calvert and Michael Reece. The original plan was to create
and distribute Mouse menus and utilities for the Logitech serial and
bus mice. In the next few months, our product line was expanded to
Pascal programming, using Turbo Pascal 5.5, targeting our utilities
toward users of the RemoteAccess bulletin board package. This is
where we are today. Hopefully, RodentWare will grow into something
big and beautiful in the future years of its existence, bringing
quality Shareware programs to its supporters.
After a few trivial disputes in early September, 1990, James Calvert
resigned his prorgamming position for RodentWare, leaving only Michael
Reece as RodentWare's programmer.
Who is RodentWare?
Currently, there is only one member on the RodentWare programming
team; Michael Reece (me), one of the original founders. As of yet,
I have not agreed to allow any other person to program for Rodent-
Ware directly.
Where is RodentWare?
My BBS, Improbability Drive II, is located in Tyler, Texas. As of
December, 1990, there are eight RodentWare Support Systems, located
throughout the USA; one being in United Kingdom. Information on
these systems may be obtained by requesting the file SUPPORT.LST from
1:3801/42 (@fidonet).
The latest RodentWare programs may be found on any RodentWare
Support bulletin board systems. If you are interested in becoming
a RodentWare Support system, contact Michael Reece at 1:3801/42
(@fidonet).
What are the support systems for?
The RodentWare Support systems will keep all RodentWare programs
online for File REQuest and/or Download. They will recieve all
the latest RodentWare releases, so that the programs can be found
as near as possible. They will also help in beta testing of new
programs, recommending suggestions and modifications as the program
develops.
What is in the future for RodentWare?
This depends mainly on the support shown by you. If you like what
we at RodentWare are doing, we ask that you show you support by help,
donations, or just a friendly note letting us know that you're behind
us. Taking on this project has taken a growing amount of funds, and
it needs your help to stay alive. If you haven't registered your
RodentWare software, please realize the time and effort put into these
programs by the authors, and make your contribution to RodentWare,
and the ShareWare system.
Up until December 31, 1990, RodentWare is offering a special one time
package registration of 35$ (US) that includes all current RodentWare
releases, as well as all future programs released under RodentWare.
You will never have to reregister a later version of a RodentWare
product. With such a growing amount of programs being released, we
hope you feel it is worth it to you. Beginning January 1, this fee
will be increased to 50$ (US). This one time fee garauntees your
future support for current programs as well as those to come.
We at RodentWare are always looking for new programming ideas. If you
have an idea you would like to see implemented into a useable Shareware
program, please contact any of the above mentioned Support systems.
Again, thanks for showing your interest. For more information, contact
Michael Reece at 1:3801/42 (@fidonet) or the address listed below.
